A non-linear generalisation of the Loomis-Whitney inequality andapplications

Summary: We establish a diffeomorphism-invariant generalisation of the classical Loomis-Whitney inequality in $\RR^{n}$. As a consequence we obtain a sharp trilinear restriction theorem for the Fourier transform in three dimensions.
