The Equivalence of Seiberg-Witten and Casson Invariants for Homology 3-Spheres

Summary: We outline a proof that the Seiberg-Witten invariant for integral homology 3-spheres is the same as Casson's invariant. This confirms a conjecture of Kronheimer.
